Graphic Design and Multimedia Art at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology (PJAIT) is a full-time bachelor's programme lasting 6 semesters and taught entirely in English. It is made for creative people who want to build a portfolio and an international career in design.
You learn visual communication design, brand identity, illustration, animation, digital publishing and multimedia projects. The programme walks you through the entire design process, from problem analysis and concept work, through design and prototyping, to presenting the final solution. You combine creativity with technology, using multimedia and artificial intelligence in your projects. By the end of the third semester you follow the main curriculum, which builds fluency in design tools, and you choose the topic of your thesis in the fourth semester. Classes are led by artists, designers and engineers from different countries and backgrounds.
Later in your studies you narrow your interests towards one of these areas:
Day to day you work in Unity, Blender, Maya, TouchDesigner and Adobe CC, using the software and modern equipment in the academy's laboratories, and you can combine traditional media such as screen printing, riso printing and etching with computer, 3D and interactive animation.
After graduating you are prepared to work in 2D and 3D design, visual identity, storytelling and animated film production, and to think critically while using the latest AI solutions.
Selected projects are created together with companies and institutions and are put into practice, so you can test your skills while still studying. You can then aim for international creative agencies, design studios and cultural institutions, or start a creative business of your own.
