Logistics & Supply Chain Management is a specialisation within the first-cycle (bachelor's) Management programme at Uczelnia Techniczno-Handlowa im. Heleny Chodkowskiej in Warsaw, taking six semesters in full-time or weekend part-time mode. It is meant for students interested in transport, freight forwarding and logistics who want to manage supply chains on a global scale, which is why the specialisation track is taught in English.
Specialisation courses taught in English include:
Hands-on work at a glance
UTH cooperates with companies from the transport, forwarding and logistics sector, including FM Logistic Central Europe, Optima Logistics Group S.A., Point of View and ROHLIG SUUS Logistics. Through this cooperation you work on case studies drawn from real supply chain problems and take part in projects, placements and initiatives run with industry partners. Classes combine lectures, workshops, case studies and visits to logistics companies, and many of the lecturers are practitioners from the field.
Specialisation courses are taught in English, with a strong focus on international industry terminology – useful in multinational companies and in cross-border transport, where documents and procedures follow international standards.
Students of the specialisation can take part in the Erasmus+ academic exchange programme and in cooperation with universities and centres abroad. Topics such as foreign transport law, multimodal transport and green logistics prepare you for work on different markets.
Graduates can work in transport, forwarding and logistics companies, in international corporations, public institutions and international organisations active in transport – for example as logisticians, domestic and international freight forwarders, transport analysts or supply chain coordinators.
After the bachelor's degree you can continue with a master's degree or postgraduate studies. The university also offers career guidance, industry conferences and job fairs.
Did you know? Among the hands-on activities is planning and handling a supply chain using virtual reality technology.
