Why study it:

Cultural Communication at the University of Gdańsk (UG) is a three-year (6-semester) full-time first-cycle programme taught in English at the Faculty of Languages. It is meant for candidates interested in contemporary culture, literature and linguistics who want to work in international settings, particularly in the cultural sector.

Programme: communication within, through and between cultures

This interdisciplinary programme draws on the research and teaching experience of the Faculty of Languages. Courses cover contemporary audiovisual and digital culture, theatre, dance and performance, European and world literatures and their intermedial adaptations, as well as the culture and literature of Poland and Eastern Europe. You also look at the interrelations between culture and politics, analyse discourse from a linguistic point of view and study the social aspects of language and the psychology and sociology of intercultural communication.

Theory is balanced by a practical module: project management, management of cultural organisations and IT solutions for the modern workplace.
