Energy Engineering

An Honours Degree in Energy Engineering from GMIT will ensure graduates have a sound understanding of the technologies involved in both Energy Production and Energy Use and Management. Graduates of the programme will be equipped with the skills which will allow them to understand, design, control/manage and simulate conventional, renewable and Integrated Energy Systems. Graduates will also have the necessary skills to support and assist the development of emerging and currently available energy technologies, together with the fundamental skill-sets of a mechanical engineer. The programme will provide graduates with the academic foundation that provides the skills and competencies required to obtain further postgraduate and/or professional level opportunities.
