Tourism Management at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin (UMCS) is a three-year, full-time Bachelor's programme with a general academic profile, taught in English at the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Spatial Management. It is for those who want to understand how tourism works in different natural and cultural settings and learn to plan, organise and run tourist activities and services.
The programme draws on both the natural and the social sciences, and two compulsory modules introduce how the tourism industry functions and build your organisational skills. Key issues and competences include:
Beyond the two compulsory modules, you choose elective modules matched to your own interests, so the programme leaves room for an individual path while keeping the broad cultural context of tourism in view.
The studies prepare you for work in the tourism sector – providing services related to tourist traffic – and for organising a variety of tourist activities on your own.
After graduating you can continue at Master's level in tourism or other social science fields, or take non-degree postgraduate programmes in tourism and the hotel industry.
